It is always important to understand firstly the position that the business is in to take on a new initiative. This helps to define what kind of time can be spent throughout ideating and iterating. Its always important to be user centric with a design thinking approach to problems. I love working within design charettes within the early stages of team building. It helps facilitate the investment in collaboration as we focus on addressing problems statements through each pass.
I always find the need to focus attention early on the base needs to design as it pertains to the business and competitive analysis. Building an early hypothesis from the potential of conducted interviews and surveys is paramount to devise a strategy to synthesize data as well as quantitative measures. This helps me to create a foundation to build personas, user flows as well as communicate early wireframes to the potential of the build out. I am easily able at this point to test wireframes and or working prototypes against the goals of the business and the measures of the user. User testing allows me to evaluate the behavioral and gestural patterns of the tester. By the point of this pass I am able to have a stronger understanding of the approach that needs to be taken for design.
